The Seacoast Family YMCA is a non-profit organization of people of all ages, ethnic groups and religious affiliations. The mission of the YMCA is to serve these individuals, their families and the community with relevant, progressive programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body.
It is the YMCA's core belief that recreation, fitness and care for our families cannot be income dependent. That is why the YMCA is committed to ACCESS, which, strives to provide families and individuals, access to YMCA facilities and programs regardless of ability to pay. The ACCESS Financial Subsidy Program, a watermark program of the YMCA, provides a sliding scale subsidy for those families and individuals most in need in our community.
The ACCESS Financial Subsidy Program is made possible through the generous support of contributions & gifts of individuals, businesses, foundations, the United Way of the Greater Seacoast, Rockingham County Incentive Funds, City of Portsmouth Welfare, and CDBG; allowing children, individuals and families to find programs and services they need at the Seacoast Family YMCA.
The Seacoast Family YMCA requires that individuals complete a membership application and provide the requested information on the attached application and supply all required documentation (see below) so that we can provide financial assistance in a fair, consistent & timely manner. The YMCA also requires that individuals reapply every six months (two weeks prior to your expiration date), or upon request of the ACCESS Coordinator. Your fees are subject to increase when you reapply. If you do not reapply when requested, your enrollment may be terminated.
To process your application, we need the following documentation that applies to you and your family:
