Seacoast Family YMCA

Program Registration Guidelines

Session & Registration dates  |  Print Guidelines (1 pg.)

1.  Registration for current members of the Seacoast Family YMCA, and those purchasing memberships at sign-up, will begin one week before general public registration. (Monday through Sunday the first week of registrations.)

2.  Members and Program Participants may sign up for classes the second week of the registration period.

3.  Program registration for all swim lessons, gymnastic classes, youth fitness classes or any other class for a fee, will be done on a daily basis according to the day of the class you wish to register for. For example; if you want a Monday class, you will call on Monday to register. If you want a Thursday class, you will call on Thursday to register.

You also have the option at that time to sign-up for a class any day that precedes the day you called. For example; if you call on Thursday, you can register for a Thursday class or you can register for any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday class.

During the second week of registrations, the same procedures will be followed for Program Participants. Members, during the second week, will be able to register for any class, Monday through Sunday, on a space available basis.

4.  You may register by phone or in person.

The Y accepts MasterCard, Visa or Discover on a phone registration. If registering in person, the above credit cards, personal check or cash are accepted. Pro-rating of classes will occur at registration if a class falls on a YMCA holiday.

Because of the limited size of Y classes, individual classes may not be prorated due to travel, appointments or other events. The YMCA cannot offer make-up classes if your child misses a class.

5.  Members and Program Participants, please remember, class registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis and some classes may fill quickly. Payment is due at the time of registration, no exceptions can be made.

6. After your initial registration day, there will be a $10.00 fee assessed if you wish to change from one class to another.

If you wish to drop a class before the session begins, there will be a $10.00 fee assessed that will be automatically deducted from your refund or class credit amount.

Any class cancelled by the YMCA due to low enrollment or any child moved to a different level by a YMCA instructor, will have no fee assessed and a full refund or credit will be offered if the Y cannot reschedule you into a class that fits your schedule.

7.  In the case of hazardous winter driving conditions, the Y may cancel individual classes, and may close the entire facility. In this case only, the Y will issue a family guest pass to be used by your family or friends in lieu of your scheduled class. Listen for cancellations on all local radio stations or call the Y at 431-2334 if there is a question.
